Arsenal May Consider Letting Nwaneri Leave to Raise Funds

Arsenal may allow academy players to leave in order to raise funds for new signings. Ethan Nwaneri is one of the players who could be allowed to leave, according to reports.

Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly Could Be Available

Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are among the Arsenal players who could be allowed to leave the club to generate funds. The BBC reports that five players in total could be leaving for this reason. Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly both signed long-term contracts last summer.

Nwaneri, a midfielder, went out on loan to Marseille in January. Lewis-Skelly, a left back, has been a backup option after a breakthrough campaign last year.

Arsenal’s Valuation of the Pair

Arsenal reportedly want at least £100 million for Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly. Interest has been shown in the pair from Borussia Dortmund and other Premier League clubs. Because they are academy players, any money generated from their sale would be considered “pure profit” in Arsenal’s accounts.

Other Arsenal Players Who Could Leave

Arsenal are also reportedly ready to listen to offers for Gabriel Jesus, Ben White and Gabriel Martinelli.

Other Potential Transfer Activity

Real Madrid could step up their efforts to sign Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise. Liverpool are also interested. The Spanish giants are reportedly thinking of making an offer worth €160 million.

There has been talk about the future of Morgan Rogers, with a fee of £80 million being the starting point to open transfer talks. The 23-year-old is likely to leave Villa if they don’t qualify for the Champions League, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool all reported to be interested.

AC Milan are looking to strengthen their attack, with the futures of wingers Rafael Leão and Christian Pulisic uncertain. Barcelona are determined to sign Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez but negotiations will be delicate as Atletico don’t want to negotiate.

FC Cincinnati has begun exploring options for Neymar.
