A 14-year-old girl is in critical condition following an accident in Wellington.
The girl was hit by a vehicle while riding an electric skateboard on Tuesday night.
Details of the Incident
The incident occurred at approximately 10 p.m. on Pinion Drive.
The report indicates that the driver was also 14 years old. The driver was operating a 2007 Kawasaki. It is unclear whether the vehicle was a motorcycle or a golf cart.
Medical Condition of Those Involved
The sheriff’s office reported that both the driver and the girl were transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center.
The driver was treated for minor injuries.
The girl suffered two brain bleeds and rib fractures. She is currently intubated in the hospital.
